The 2023 World Championship of Online Poker has concluded after running hundreds of events on PokerStars from September 10 to October 4. In this event, participants shared $80 million in prize money.

Seventh Title in a Row for Benny Glaser in the 2023 WCOOP Series

While the concluded WCOOP has recorded several remarkable win stories over the last few months, Benny Glaser, a professional poker player from the United Kingdom, has been the event's breakout story.

The five-time WSOP bracelet winner has bagged seven victories in this year's WCOOP competition, raising his career total to 15. Both his total number and festival haul this year set new records in video poker.

Glaser, who plays at online poker sites as "RunGodlike," has also triumphed in ten Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) tournaments. This brings his total number of COOP victories to 25. And yes, this number is also record-breaking in poker.

Following this epic victory, the 34-year-old from Southampton, United Kingdom, said on his Twitter account:

“My 7th WCOOP title of this series. Unprecedented scenes! Also nice to win it in this stacked FT/field! COOP title #25. And now still 4 more days to go, to try to win that Player of the series overall leaderboard!”

Glaser is enjoying one of his most prolific extended runs on the tournament circuit. This was after finishing 2022 on a high note by coming second in the WPT World Championship, the biggest World Poker Tour event ever played. In the event, won by Eliot Hudon from Canada, Glaser received a career-high payment of $2,830,000 after competing against 2,960 professional players. Glaser

Glaser also won the $10,000 triple-draw deuce-to-seven lowball championship at this year's World Series of Poker. He triumphed over 130 competitors to win his fifth gold bracelet and $311,428. This poker win extended his top position in the UK to a three-bracelet lead, with eight players tied for second with two WSOP titles.
